MilliWonders exists for one reason: to save you from buying the wrong thing. Every roundup on this site answers the same question a friend would ask you before a purchase: "Okay, but which one should I actually get?"
Here's exactly how we put our lists together, including what we do and don't do.
How we choose what to write about
We write about things real people are searching for right now, like a claw clip that holds thick hair, a blower that dries a car without scratching it, or a gold eyeshadow that doesn't crease by lunch. If a lot of people are asking and the answers out there are weak or buried in ads, we write a guide.
How we pick the products
- We start with what people actually buy. We look at the best-selling and most-reviewed options for that exact need.
- We rank by real-world ratings, not hype. A 4.6-star product with 20,000 reviews has proven itself. A 4.9-star product with 40 reviews hasn't yet. Our lists are ordered by how well a product is rated and how many people have bought and reviewed it.
- We check the details that matter. Sizes, materials, ingredients, what's in the box, warranty, and the fine print in the listing. We pull these from the product page and the brand's own site.
- We include real choices. Each list covers different budgets and needs, so it isn't five versions of the same thing.
- We tell you the catch. Every product we list gets a "Good to know" section with the downside, whether it's sizing that runs small, a formula that sets fast, or a color that's more burgundy than red.
What we don't do
- We don't pretend to have hands-on tested products we haven't. When a guide is based on research, specs and buyer feedback, we say so.
- We don't make up specs, awards or claims. If a listing doesn't say something, neither do we.
- We don't rank products higher because they pay more.
We keep our guides updated
Products change. Listings get swapped, shades get discontinued, and a "red" jacket suddenly ships in pink. We go back through our guides regularly to check that every product is still available and still matches what we wrote. When one doesn't, we replace it. The date at the top of each post shows when it was last updated.
